Crime Wave - Paperback

Eighty years after the Great Revelation proved the monsters of legend, folklore, and nightmares were real, magic influences everything from appliances and entertainment to politics and war.
San Francisco, California.
International delegates gather for a historic peace treaty as the city prepares for a week of magic, spectacle, and revelry culminating on Halloween night.
But a scientist's son has been kidnapped. Women are disappearing. Magical weapons, illicit enchantments, and intoxicants that alter mind, body, and soul are flooding the streets.
Kinichiro “Whiskey” Mononobe is an FBI consultant hiding a secret that carries a death sentence. Michelle “Mickey” McFinn is a magical bounty hunter armed with enough magi-tech to level a room.
When their investigations collide, they'll work together—a prospect neither is too keen on—to discover what's taking shape beneath the fog and festivities before it consumes San Francisco…
And engulfs the country.
IN THIS WORLD, MONSTERS ARE REAL.
THEY JUST PREFER TO BE CALLED MYTHICS.
